Travis here, reporting from Sniper Studios in Moyock, NC. Vince Burke of Beaten Back To Pure is doing a killer job capturing Download's debut CD. As of today we have all of the groundwork done. All drum tracks are complete, most rhythm guitar parts are done, and the bass tracks are finished. We still have a few songs in need of vocals as well as guitar solo's, and of course all of the mixing and mastering has yet to be done. Officially, this record will have eight songs, possibly nine. Also in the works is a promotional DVD that will be available with the cd for a limited time. The DVD will most likely have behind the scenes footage of Download at shows as well as the video for "Fallen Ground." We have yet to decide on the title of the cd nor have we chosen any artwork. We are still hoping for an early 2008 release barring any catastrophic failures.That will most likely depend on the post production and of course funding. With that in mind, feel free to come to shows, drink booze, and buy t-shirts. The more money we can raise, the sooner the cd will be released. Also, speaking of shows, our first one back will be Feb. 22nd at Tonic's. More info will follow. Keep checking back periodically for further reports. I will be adding more as things progress. |
