Download welcomes Rick Doshier to the band

New frontman completes the five man line-up.

Hey everyone, Travis here once again to give you the latest on Download. First off, the biggest news for those who haven't seen us perform recently, we have a new frontman to take over the vocal duties. It was a huge honor to be able to perform and sing the lyrics Keith wrote, but there still seemed to be something missing. We recorded our cd's as a five piece with three vocal tracks, and trying to do it as a four piece was kind of taking away from that. Plus, we wanted to retain the chaotic stage presence we've been known for, and that was difficult to do when I had to be in front of the mic a majority of the time. It took quite a while, and had many people come out and jam, all of which did a great job. In the end, we decided that Rick Doshier, formerly of Mayan and A.O.D., was the man for the job. He is a long time friend. In fact, I personally have known him for at least thirteen years. Now, we must look to the future. We're currently writing for our third cd tentatively titled Extinction of Life, and we're really kicking around some killer ideas. I think the new album is going to be the most brutal and the most melodic one we've done yet. We are still keeping our hardcore roots, but as an album in a whole, it goes way beyond that. I'm really looking forward to some of these songs coming to life. That's the latest on Download, but keep checking back because, I have some new pics that I'll be posting as well as some new links, including our YouTube page. I think it is a great pic, and almost symbolic of Keith passing the torch.
